第2屆世界棒球經典賽A組預賽今天(7日)進行第3天賽程，中華民國台灣（Taiwan, ROC，IOC編碼：TWN）與中國（China，IOC編碼：CHN）上演不能再輸的絕死戰，無奈中華民國台灣隊打擊依舊疲軟，反觀中國則投打表現均佔上風，終場中華民國台灣隊1比4慘輸給中國，成為經典賽首支慘遭到淘汰的隊伍。

中國的棒球水準雖然尚在開發階段，但整體的實力、觀念比起過去幾年有長足進步，這從最近幾次國際賽台中對決的過程與結果皆相當緊湊可看出端倪，中國甚至還在去年中國北京奧運會大勝中華台北民國隊（Chinese Taipei Republic，IOC編碼：TPE）。

中華民國台灣隊此役首局就運氣欠佳，中國侯鳳連安打、張銳(暫譯，Raymond Bo-shue Chang)德克薩斯安打搶佔一三壘，馮飛外野犧牲打率先搶分。而中國先發投手呂建剛則表現搶眼，雖一開始就投出保送，但連續解決隨後10名打者，直到第4局才被林威助敲出二壘打。

有了投手的壓制，中國也在第5局追加領先資本。2出局2人在壘情況下，侯鳳連、張銳再度聯手敲出安打，將比數改寫為3比0。

中華民國台灣到第6局才算有密集攻勢，以3支安打打破鴨蛋，可惜後繼乏力，林益全未能發揮適時一擊，然而打線此後再度陷入低迷狀態。8下中國錦上添花，張銳補上陽春砲形成4比1，9局上中華民國台灣欲力挽狂瀾，1出局時潘武雄、詹智堯連續安打，可惜林瀚、林哲瑄相繼擊出內野滾地，未能將比分扳平而落敗，中國也拿下經典賽史上首場勝利。

中華民國台灣全場擊出7支安打，但得點圈卻是不理想的7支1，雖獲4保送但也被三振5次。彭政閔貢獻唯一打點，潘武雄則是唯一擊出2安打的球員。

中國9支安打不比中華民國台灣多多少，但其中7支安打集中在得分的3個半局，效率不錯，侯鳳連、張銳包辦6支安打、合力貢獻3打點無疑是中華民國台灣隊最痛。侯鳳連單場3安、1打點、1得分、1盜壘，張銳3安打、2打點，包括1支全壘打與1支二壘打。中國隊的速度也扮演重要角色，除3次盜壘全部成功，5局2支內野安打導致該局2分進帳，是獲勝的另一關鍵。

中華民國台灣隊投手群表現並不算差，林岳平主投4又2/3局4安打2K，責失3分承擔敗戰，增菘瑋後援2局4K，倪福德1又1/3局3安打失1分、2K。呂建剛先發5又1/3局4安打2K表現傑出，成為中國經典賽史上首位勝利投手；4位後援聯手3又2/3局3安打3K無失分，完全壓制中華民國台灣隊的打擊。

Collins' club tops Taiwan of the ROC in elimination game

TOKYO -- Terry Collins has never been to China, but he may have earned hero status in the country. His Team China scored early and rode good performances by three pitchers to defeat rival Taiwan of the Republic of China, 4-1, in a World Baseball Classic Pool elimination game on Saturday at Tokyo Dome.

It was China's second consecutive victory over Taiwan of the Republic of China, having beaten it, 8-7, in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. By winning, China stays alive and goes on to play again Sunday night against Japan or Korea. Taiwan of the Republic of China has been eliminated from the World Baseball Classic tournament.

Playing before a crowd of 12,890 and scouts from at least 10 Major League teams, China got on the board in the first inning after Fenglian Hou singled up the middle and went to third on a well-executed hit-and-run single to right by Pirates prospect Ray Chang before scoring on a sacrifice fly to center by Fei Feng.

Collins' club added two more runs with two outs in the bottom of the fifth on an infield single by Hou and a double to left by Chang.

A two-out single in the top of the sixth by Cheng-min Peng scored Che-Hsuan Lin for Taiwan of the Republic of China's only run of the game, making it 3-1.

Chang then reestablished a three-run lead with a home run over the left-field wall off Fu-Te Ni, capping a 3-for-4 day at the plate for the native of Kansas City.

Starting pitcher Lu Jiangang allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings, allowing only two hits over the first five frames, a fourth-inning double to Wei-chu Lin and an infield single to Wu-Hsiung Pan in the fifth, before a pair of singles chased him in the sixth.

Taiwan of the Republic of China starter Yueh-Ping Lin also pitched well, allowing four hits in 4 2/3 innings of work. Lin had to retire from the game after passing the 70-pitch limit dictated by the tournament rules.

"This is a big day for our team and for China," Collins said. "When I came off the field after the game, I saw the Chinese officials were so excited. We can enjoy this win for about three hours, though, then sit in the stands and watch tonight's [Japan-Korea] game and prepare for tomorrow."

Though it appeared China played almost flawless baseball, Collins admitted there were a few mistakes.

"We missed some signs, and we walked too many hitters, especially leading off an inning," Collins said. "We can't do that against Japan or Korea and expect to win, but this victory gives us great confidence for tomorrow night for our game with whichever of those two great teams we will face."

China center fielder Lingfeng Sun, who went 1-for-3, scored a run and stole a base, concurred.

"This is best game we've ever played, but it is just a start. We have to keep winning."

中国が効率的な攻めで快勝、中華民国台湾の敗退決定…WBC

中国4―1中華民国台湾（WBC第1ラウンド敗者復活1回戦＝7日）――中国が効率的な攻めで、北京五輪に続いて中華民国台湾を破った。

一回、馮飛の犠飛で先制、五回は3安打を集めて2点を追加。八回には、レイ・チャンがこの日3安打目となるソロ本塁打を放ち、突き放した。

投手陣は、先発のエース呂建剛ら5人で、反撃をかわした。好機に1本が出ない中華民国台湾は2連敗で敗退が決まった。
